Klous + Brandjes BIM Academy, powered by Cad & Company; arose from our sense of corporate social responsibility. At the academy, unemployed experienced construction engineers are trained to be excellent BIMmers within six months. Their knowledge of BIM and modeling skills in Revit makes them more than ready for the job market.

The future BIMmers also participate in a coaching course with Uitendaal Coaching. During this course, competence profiles are made and the participant can work on their soft skills, so the model maker will be an ideal team member in our or another organization.

This free course is paid for through the commitment we enter into with our trainees. They agree to working for our firm for six months after finishing the course. This may be in our office, but also seconded to other companies in our chain that use BIM. This type of training has already resulted in three valuable crops of BIM Academy graduates. During the economic crisis, we have helped 19 job seekers find steady employment, some of which at Klous + Brandjes. The Klous + Brandjes BIM Academy has yielded great results and we look back on this period with pride.

These days, the Klous + Brandjes BIM Academy has a larger scope. Besides training job seekers to be BIM modelers, we ensure that everyone who is involved with a BIM project is able to keep up. This means we do clash sessions with contractors, give modeling advice to different companies, including installation technicians The aim is to let everybody be a successful part of that beautiful digital world called ‘BIM’.
